About Us  Linwood Nursery was established in Turlock, California in 1915, by the Cripe Family. Since the beginning, Linwood Nursery was specialized in the exclusive growth and development of premium Pecan Tree Orchard Stock. In the year 2004, owners Gene and Irma Cripe retired from the business. Gene Cripe personally chose Joel and Jason Hall to carry on the Linwood legacy. Joel and Jason were already experienced nurserymen and owners of Green Tree Nursery, an equally well-established wholesale bareroot nursery located in La Grange, California. Green Tree Nursery already had more than 40 years experience in producing reputable deciduous fruit and nut trees, including pecans. This was a natural match and honor to continue and expand upon Linwood Nursery’s reputation for the highest quality Pecan Tree Orchard Stock in the West! At Linwood Nursery we are pecan purists.
